Guggenheim Securities Hires Punit Mehta to Expand Healthcare Investment Banking Group

Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that Punit Mehta will join the firm as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Healthcare investment banking group.

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that Punit Mehta will join the firm as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Healthcare investment banking group. Mr. Mehta will focus on advising life sciences companies and will commence work at Guggenheim in October.

Mr. Mehta has 18 years of experience in investment banking advising healthcare companies. He will join Guggenheim from Credit Suisse, where he served as Global Co-Head of Healthcare Investment Banking. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was Global Head of Life Sciences Investment Banking at Barclays. Mr. Mehta began his investment banking career at Lehman Brothers, where he last served as a Managing Director in the firm’s Healthcare investment banking group.

Mr. Mehta received his PGDBM/MBA from the Indian Institution of Management Ahmedabad and his B.S. from the University of Mumbai. He received his ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He will be based in Guggenheim’s New York Office.
